ALBERTA CONSTRUCTION SAFETY ASSOCIATION

Diablo Fire Protection’s employees have been certified with Alberta Construction Safety Association’s CSTS-09 (Construction Safety Training System). This course covers topics of basic safety such as: workplace hazard assessment, inspections, WHMIS, respiratory hazards, emergency response, and fall protection. Employees are also certified in first aid, aerial work platform and fall protection.

Since operations began in 2006, the company has not suffered any lost time injuries. Diablo safety policies are comprehensive and include: fall protection strategies, jobsite safety training on all tools and equipment, and daily safety meetings. All employee’s wear jobsite PPE (personal protective equipment) including hard hats, safety glasses, steel toe boots and high visibility reflective vests.
